Garner Group are an independently owned and operated set of three convenience and fuel (C&F) sites situated in Hampshire. They’re a third-generation family run business who pride themselves on outstanding customer service. Their Woolmer forecourt in Bordon, was a small new-to-industry site originally built in 1984.
Garner Group decided it had outgrown its premises at Woolmer and that a major redevelopment was needed to accommodate its growing customer base and provide the area with a full convenience store experience.
In September 2018, a complete knock-down and rebuild began, to transform Woolmer into a state-of-the-art forecourt with a 2,000sq ft convenience (Nisa) store.
Garner required a reliable technology system that delivers great customer service for both fuel pumps and sizable convenience stores, with multiple product lines, pricing, promotions and other facilities such as PayPoint, food-to-go and coffee machines.
evoPOS has been specifically developed for the C&F sector – designed not only to deliver the commonplace functionality expected of an EPOS, but advanced features that more closely align with a modern, digitally-powered C&F retail environment.
Garner Group have a strong, long-standing relationship with the team at TLM which made it easy for them to make the decision to progress their business by implementing evoPOS.
The transformed Woolmer site reopened in March 2019 running evoPOS across its pump and payment systems, including integrated PayPoint. With a great looking forecourt, superb store and friendly staff, it’s easy to see how it won Forecourt Trader of the Year 2019.
Notably, the Garner Group has since rolled out evoPOS to all of their sites in their estate.
Looking forward, they have chosen a future proof system; the open platform and architecture of evoPOS means it can quickly adapt to whatever the future holds.
