The customer
Greenway Motors is a small independent convenience and fuel (C&F) store in Taunton, Somerset. It’s a father and son family business which has been trading since the 1960s.
They have eight pumps on the forecourt and c-store selling a range of goods from tobacco to locally grown potatoes and takeaway coffee.
The Challenge
Greenway wanted to modernise both their hardware and software. They were finding quality replacement parts for outdated hardware difficult to procure and their legacy IRLite system did not have time saving features, such as the ability to print shelf edge labels. Back-office tasks were not being carried out because of the inconvenience of having to shut down the POS (Point of Sale) in order to do so. They needed a competitively priced package that delivered a modern user interface and the operator-friendly back-office features they needed.
The Solution
evoLite is a cost-effective, next-generation POS and BOS (Back Office System) package that has been specifically designed for retailers (fuel or convenience only) who need a modern POS and a simplified back-office. Unlike legacy systems, evoLite is built on an open platform which means new features and enhancements can be written and released in a fraction of the time.
evoLite is future proof; if your business wants to upgrade to a full back-office system at any point, this is quick and easy to do.
Greenway installed evoLite in March 2020. Dave Merrifield, owner of Greenway said, “I never thought we really needed a back-office but now I can certainly see the business benefits and we’re using it regularly.”
“The instant back-office dashboards are extremely useful. We can now focus on best-selling items and pricing more closely and have a better overview of our business. Being able to run the back-office on our PC or tablet whilst keeping the EPOS working is a huge help to us… The promotion function is great, we can quickly and easily create our own deals and multi-buy offers.” - Dave Merrifield, Greenway Motors
